Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me

Apparently I pissed off a Trump supporter and he sent me an angry message on Facebook saying "fuck you", tried to insult my physical appearance (i.e eyes), and then finished off the brief message with the derogatory word "chink". Here is my response on Instagram.

The rare, elusive selfie of me 😅. Seriously though, I am going to take this opportunity to express my thoughts this morning. This morning when I went to check my FB, I received a hateful message from a troll telling me "fuck you", made a reference to the shape of my eyes due to my Asian heritage, and called me a "chink". That was water off my back so to me it meant nothing. I am guessing this loser who shall not be named saw my IG account or my FB account and was offended. Good! I am an unapologetic leftist. I believe black and native lives matter, immigrant rights are human rights, not all Muslims are terrorists, immigrant rights are human rights, science matters, women rights matters (I am not a goddamn chattel or host nor is The Handmaid's Tale is an instruction manual), clean air and water is a right, healthcare is a right and not a privilege , separation of church and state (this is not a fucking Christian nation), and LGBTQ rights matters especially trans women of color. If you think this country is now great, think again. White supremacy needs to go the way of the dodo bird. America was never great to begin with since it was built on genocide and slavery of African slaves as well as the indigenous population of this country. President Agent Orange has no vested interest in the working middle class. His interests are his bank account. Those who voted for him just conned big time.I could go on but I will not. I also mentioned that for any future trolls that if they think insulting my heritage and physical appearance will hurt my feelings, they will not succeed.

For the first time in the 42 years I have been in existence, I have never had someone throw the word "chink" at me. Until now. I recently decided to let people see my FB feed (although non-friends cannot post on it which I will not change that policy on). Considering what a huge non-fan I am of Agent Orange, I post a lot of anti-Trump memes and gifs. I'm guessing this wonderful individual who sent me the email last night after I had gone to bed saw my wall and was offended. All I can say is good. I am not sorry.

I probably should have been offended by seeing some troll throw a derogatory word in my direction but surprisingly I was not. To be honest, I am more amused to be on the receiving end of hate mail from an obviously racist jackass. I cannot speak for all Asian-Americans but only for myself. Internet trolls can throw the word "chink" at me as much as they want to but that word means nothing to me. All it says is that the person is a bitter, hateful, ignorant asshole. I'm not sorry for all the shit I post on Facebook or Instagram. It is not my fault that there are people who are small-minded and ignorant as hell, and that lives in fear. I am a naturalized citizen of the US. America is my home. I am not going anywhere nor will I be intimated by morons who have been emboldened by the asshole in the white house. I don't respect this awful administration or its supporters. That ship long sailed when the angry apricot began spewing the birther bullshit ages ago.
