Well it has been a month since I emailed my favorite tattoo artist that I follow on Instagram to see if she could fit me into her schedule this fall. I haven't heard back from her (can't fault her since she did say that she has a high volume of emails). I am now re-thinking my plans on going to next year's Chicago Tattoo Arts Convention in the windy city. She does strictly walk ups there and I probably have the best chance of getting some work done by her. I am either thinking of going back to Minneapolis Tattoo Shop and work with Heather Kim again (she's one helluva tattoo artist and since she is Asian like yours truly, I think it is awesome to see an Asian woman in the tattoo field which is not common) or contact Emilie Robinson at Twilight Tattoo. I really dig her work a lot. Other potential artists I would like to work with is Nate Vincent Szklarski at Saint Sabrina's and Jessi Lawson at Leviticus Tattoo. There is another artist I would love to get some work done but on her next trip to Minneapolis in May she isn't accepting any new clients. I still want to work with one of the women at Jackalope Tattoo shop one day. Assuming I don't end up running out of space on my body to be tattooed.
As far as ideas of what I want to get done, it is a mixed bag. So here are the ideas I am throwing around in my head for my next tattoo (and most likely future tattoos):
- American traditional wolf/Tiger
- Medieval Monsters
- Mermaid skeleton
- One of Pale Man's hands (he is from Pan's Labyrinth, one of my all time favorite films)
- Dagger
- Lotus flower
- Shou symbol
- Phoenix feather
- Hand holding dagger (an idea I had submitted to Tine last month)
- Snow Globe or light bulb and inside it is the moon and tree from Autumn's The Hating Tree album cover)
